To Be Outside Again

Gradually, but finally, some of the restrictions because of Corona virus are being lifted in some countries. Spending most of our time in between 4 walls at home in Amsterdam really slowed life down. However, the soft lockdown in the Netherlands is absolutely nothing compared to the strict rules Parisians had to abide by in the past months. Seeing photos of Paris during lockdown, the images of empty roads and abandoned streets in our second home are as enchanting as bittersweet. The feeling must be truly exhilarating now that Parisians are given back the freedom to go out and enjoy their gorgeous city again. The elegant city landscape forms the perfect backdrop to get all dressed up, without needing any specific place to go. Especially since a sunshine splashed city stroll was out of reach so long. Our soft silk ensembles waver in the spring breeze, as we walk down the Pont de Bir Hakeim. His silk wrap shirt in black is combined with grey trousers with snake print, flanked by her silk asymmetrical wrap dress in aubergine. The iconic, steel bridge designed by Jean-Camille Formigé connects the 15th arrondissement to the 16th arrondissement and offers a magnificent view of the Eiffel tower. Which we gladly take in, how lovely to be outside again.
