A walk around the downtown area of Paris always feels like a vacation that never ends, even if you have been living there for months. Especially in and near the seventh arrondissement where the city’s most famous landmark towers above all of the picturesque streets, “la Ville Lumière” has the capability of holding your mood captive with its rich history and unmistakable architecture. Art, poetry and fashion revel here, as style is never used in Paris sparingly and always meant to spark new trends. A fashion style that escaped the scene way too prematurely however, was definitely colorblocking. Although for those of us who adore vibrant colors, it’s a trend that always lingers among the hot pink, teal and purple jewel tones that are so becoming when the sun still shines. Illustrated by her ensemble, flaunting a turquoise-green palazzo pant with a purple wide-sleeved top and complemented with a fuchsia hand bag. He follows suit with his ensemble, reprising the color palette with his striped shirt. Even the color of his dark denim jeans match the navy stripes of the pattern, with the white being reprised in the classic-yet-modernized white brogues. Because colors speak louder than words.
