What a time to be alive. While the world is still trying to battle the global coronavirus pandemic, there is another ongoing battle which is taking far too long to come to an end. Protests and rallies against racial inequality and police brutality are unfortunately still needed in this day and age, until we see a true new dawn on the horizon. “No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite” This Nelson Mandela quote is full of hope, and part of it is incorporated into tapeography street-art by Thibaut Vankemmel. You can find it on the walls of Palais de Tokyo, our favourite modern art museum in Paris. So much inspiration can be absorbed at this institution, plus the building is just gorgeous. Equally a work of art are our ensembles by Chinese brand S.Deer, which is far more popular in France than in its home country. His all-black outfit features a singlet and pant with asymmetrical details, combined with a hat and leather accessories. The asymmetry is mirrored by her look, featuring a white sleeveless shirt with black culottes. Awaiting a new dawn.
