Winter winds whirl around the city of Amsterdam, making us long for a December trip to a sunny destination. Yet, we appreciate the cozy atmosphere of our picturesque city during this season even more. The bizarre circumstances we all face today, make traveling quite a challenge. However, winter walks downtown show us so many interesting areas we hadn’t seen before. The Zevenlandenhuizen (houses of seven countries) can be found on Roemer Visscherstraat, featuring unique houses in the architectural style of 7 different countries. Built in the 19th century, the Dutch romanticized anything foreign, creating this project as an ode to European building styles. The bohemian look is equally an ode to foreign cultures, and definitely suitable for winter by adding things like scarves, hats, or faux fur. Her fuzzy bodywarmer is paired with leather shorts and patterned knitted tights, flanked by his ensemble with a grey snakeskin print shirt, ripped jeans, and a bandana scarf.
