We have fond memories of the first runway show we attended by young designer Kimberly Jenneskens almost a year ago, and we were excited to see a fresh batch of youthful and daring designs. What stood out last time, is that she certainly knows how to add a little glam to streetwear.
The show opens with a clip of Dutch hip-hop singer Famke Louise, wearing an outfit by Jenneskens. The presentation that follows features female and male models treating us to a reverie of current streetwear trends, all elevated by Jenneskens’ surprising choice of materials. We love the satin oversized suits for women and men, accessorized by a matching satin fanny pack. While we share this love for the patent leather puffy suits in lilac, the yellow ones make a less refined statement. However, her logo sweaters are iconic, with the letters covering the front and stretching across the sleeves. The silver metallic jacket/dress with an oversized, matching fanny pack is an absolute show stopper, and the perfect look for Famke Louise herself to close the show. Any club would be bumping with a crowd dressed this fresh.
